About The Sensory Sessions
We started in 2016 and run multiaward winning classes both in person and online. Our background is in sensory development and we are really passionate about helping to support new parents. We do this all through play and set up weekly themed play sessions for parents to enjoy with their babies.
About our amazing class leaders
We are looking for amazing individuals who have a positive attitude, are enthusiastic, calm and have a love of babies and children. We are looking for people who are confident with public speaking and presenting information as our role involves talking to groups of new parents to deliver our programme and keep classes running smoothly.
Attention to detail is really important to us as we love setting up beautiful play spaces for parents to enjoy with their little ones, following our class plans and information on baby development to support our customers.
We’d also love our class leaders to love learning as we regularly run training sessions to improve our skills and we are all about development.
Backgrounds in health, education and childcare are really welcome but we are happy to train the right person to deliver our programme.

It is a fun and rewarding position with hours and days that suit you and your family/work commitments. We are looking for class leaders to work run around 6 – 10 classes a week for us over 3 – 4 days.
Full training is given, including sensory development training from our team, group work training, first aid certification, and we’ll be there to support you with class plans and provide you with all of the equipment. Training currently takes place online and in person in Edinburgh.
Our sessions are 50 minutes long and include music toys, puppets, props, parachutes and lots of music and bubbles. We deliver our sessions in different locations throughout our week so the position involves setting up, delivering, maintaining our equipment and packing away sensory play classes. Applicants must be fit and healthy as the role requires some lifting and setting up of props and sensory areas.
Each session is carefully planned and scripted with music playlists, information on child development, equipment and toys.
Class leaders get a great rate for each session delivered, the post is a self employed one. A full driving licence and access to a car is essential for our position.
